I started training Jiuijtsu in 2008 with Prof Ricardo Da Silva at Nova Forca Academy.

Since then I was awarded my purple belt at Roger Gracie Academy, my Brown belt at Mallorca BJJ where I spent one year as a full time teacher and my Black Belt at Fightzone Berlin where I currently teach everyday.

BJJ started out as a hobby for me. Eventually it become part of an everyday lifestyle and now it is also my profession. I love to train and teach jiujitsu and have been a full time coach since 2018.

I have trained at over 40 different academies in 17 countries around the world. I love to attend seminars to learn from the best practitioners in the world, and pass that knowledge on. The learning experience never ends!

Black Belt Grading

On 19th August 2023 I was awarded my Black Belt by Markus Schmidt, head coach of Fightzone Berlin.

This was the result of almost 15 years of hard training, blood, sweat and tears. A key step on journey that will never end. Here are some of main points represented by the BJJ Black Belt.

Technical Proficiency: A black belt signifies a high level of technical skill. Black belts have a deep understanding of BJJ techniques, transitions, and strategies.

Experience: Black belts typically have many years of experience on the mats, having dedicated a substantial amount of time to training and refining their skills.

Teaching Ability: Many black belts become instructors, and the black belt represents not only personal proficiency but also the ability to convey knowledge effectively to others.

Mental Toughness: Achieving a black belt requires mental resilience, perseverance, and the ability to overcome challenges on the mat.

Understanding of BJJ Philosophy: Beyond physical techniques, black belts are expected to embody the philosophy of BJJ, which often includes concepts such as humility, respect, and continuous self-improvement.

Community Leadership: Black belts often play a leadership role within the BJJ community, helping to mentor and guide lower-ranked practitioners.
